5 - USE OF THE TOOL

5.2 Stopping the tool

The tool must always be switched off at the end of any working session:
Select the OFF mode of the switch (7).
Lean the tool without leaving its weight on the rakes and without bending or tensioning the connector and the power supply
cable (14-15).
Do not squash the cable (14-15) by putting weights or the tool onto it.

5.3 Troubleshooting

WARNING!
All special maintenance operations shall be carried out only by well-trained personnel.
FAULTS
The tool does not work.
The tool is not powerful enough
Temporary tool stopping during the
use.
The harvesting head does not move.

- MAINTENANCE

6.1 Routine maintenance

WARNING!
Before any routine maintenance operations, select the OFF mode of the switch (7) and disconnect the cable (14-
15) from the tool.
All maintenance operations which are not described in this manual shall be carried out only by Authorized Service
Points.
Routine maintenance operations can be carried out by the operators.

6.1.1 General

Before any routine maintenance operation:
Select the OFF mode of the switch (7).
Wear protective gloves.

6.1.2 Cleaning and storing

Carry out the following operations:
Select the OFF mode of the switch (7).
Disconnect the power supply cable (14-15) from the battery and from the tool.
Disconnect the power unit from the extension pole and open the shells.
Clean the inner part of the shells eliminating any impurities which have entered through the cooling fi ns of the engine, then
assemble again by carrying out the same operations in reverse. Be careful when positioning the electronic card, the con-
nectors and the connecting wires in order to avoid damages.

6.1.3 Harvesting head maintenance

All operations are indicated in the use and maintenance manual supplied with the harvesting head.

CAUSE
• Flat battery.
Flat battery.
Motor overheating due to thick trees.
Exceeded current limits.
Wrong connection of the extension pole
with the power unit.
REMEDY
• Re-charge the battery.
• Re-charge the battery.
• Get out of the tree, wait for the auto-
matic unlocking phase and start the
tool again.
• Remove the extension pole and
check the insertion of the engine
connection in the extension pole fi t-
ting.
