sump for at least 10 minutes before checking. If the oil level
is at or below the Add mark on the dipstick, add oil to bring
the oil level to the Full mark. Do not overfill the crankcase.
If the oil level is between the Full and Add marks, no oil
addition is required.
1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the cutting
units, engage the parking brake, shut off the engine,
and remove the key from the ignition switch.
2. Open the hood.
3. Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, and install it
(Figure
23).

4. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level on the
dipstick.
The oil level should be up to the Full mark.
5. If the oil level is below the Full mark, remove the fill
cap
(Figure
24) and add oil until the level reaches the
Full mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.

6. Install the oil-fill cap and close the hood.

Checking the Cooling System

Service Interval: Before each use or daily
CAUTION
If the engine has been running, the pressurized, hot
coolant can escape and cause burns.
• Do not open the radiator cap when the engine
is running.
• Use a rag when opening the radiator cap, and
open the cap slowly to allow steam to escape.
The cooling system is filled with a 50/50 solution of water
and permanent ethylene glycol antifreeze.
1. Clean debris off of the screen, oil cooler, and front
of the radiator daily and more often if conditions are
extremely dusty and dirty. Refer to

2. Check the level of the coolant in the expansion tank
(Figure

Note: The coolant level should be between the marks
on the side of the tank.
