5.1 Installation Requirements
New pipe before installing the instrument must be cleaned or purged, because the pipeline
welding slag left over from the ferromagnetic particulate impurities easily adsorbed on
the float, causing float stuck, the instrument does not work properly. If the meter has
a bypass, it should first open the bypass operation for some time, and then turn on the
meter pipe, close the bypass. If the fluid contains greater than 50μm particles or magnetic
particles exists, install a magnetic filter upstream of the meter.
Instruments should be installed as far as possible away from the ferromagnetic material
and other measuring tube, at least 100mm outside, the meter installation location should
be chosen as far away from the motor, strong power distribution box and so easy to form
a magnetic field in place, or it may make the meter offset null point, serious caused when
the meter is not working properly.
PTFE lined instrument during installation, to avoid the hole and down the instrument
smaller than the inner diameter of the PTFE gasket, the gasket should be greater than the
inner diameter of the inner diameter of the instrument plus 8mm. Doing so may damage the
lining because the gasket extrusion, resulting in movement of the float can not be flexible
or liner leaks, measuring tube damage.
When you install liners PTFE flowmeter, to protect the meter from top to bottom welt,
be careful not to arbitrarily tightened if the damage will lose corrosion resistance,
fastening bolts, otherwise it would PTFE deformation for maximum torque, please refer to
the following table:

Ensure that the instrument mounted vertically or horizontally, the inclination should
not exceed 5 °, and consistent flow of fluid to the fluid should be marked with the meter.
