Brief description

Intended use:
In conjunction with a full body harness that conforms to
EN 361, the ROPSTOP 3-fall arrester serves exclusively to
safeguard one person ascending with a guided type fall
arrester on ladders, scaffolding, roofs etc. from falling.
The ROPSTOP 3-fall arrester is also suitable for horizontal
protection.
It is assumed that the user of this device has appropriate
experience in the use of personal protective equipment and
the risks associated with working where there is a risk of
falling.
All other uses are deemed improper. The company
BORNACK will not be liable for any ensuing damages.
The user bears the sole risk.
Equipment:
• Fall arrester in compliance with EN 353-2
Always test every time before use!
Visual inspection:
• Check that the fall arrester, safety hook and safety line
are complete and in a flawless condition.
• Roll out the entire rope and check its condition.
The rope may show no signs of wear anywhere.
• Flexible anchor line S 16, SK 16 or SK 12
• Energy absorber in compliance with EN 355
• Safety hook, self-securing, self-locking

• Securing
• Arresting
Approval:
• Conformity with the EC Directive 89/686/EEC
• Type-tested and production control by
EXAM BBG Prüf- und Zertifizier GmbH CE 0158

Quality test:
• Quality assurance system by the manufacturer
Function test:
• Attach the safety line and the safety hook to a secure
anchor point. Strongly jerk the connecting rope and/or
tape downwards. The fall arrester must clamp tightly to
the safety line.

If even the slightest of faults is detected
during the inspection, the device may not be
used.
Faulty devices may only be tested and repaired in a
workshop authorised by BORNACK.
