START-UP AND USE

FIRST USE

As you unwrap your unit, make sure that you carefully remove all

of the packing elements and all of the bags and packaging labels.
Make sure that all of the parts and accessories are present and intact.

We recommend that you clean the stainless steel tray and grill
*
before the first use (see Upkeep)
A new unit can emit smoke at the time of its first use. To limit
*
this phenomenon, proceed as follows: heat your unit for about

STARTING
Assemble the unit according to the diagram on page

Assembly of the windshield: insert the central strip of the wind
*
shield in the notch of the stainless steel tray. Position the two
lateral strips in the lateral slits of the tray by gently bending the
wind shield.

Put the resistor casing in its housing. Make sure that the resistor
*
block is correctly positioned. If the green indicator light does not
go on, this means that the resistor block is poorly positioned.
NB: always use the unit with water in the tray. During use,
it is essential to monitor the water level and to add more water if
necessary, pouring very gently to avoid splashes that could cause
burns. If you inadvertently let all of the water evaporate, you must
unplug the unit and let it cool down completely before pouring
water into the tray in order to avoid sudden evaporation of grease
residues onto the resistor which could catch fire.

Put the grill in place.

Unwind the cord completely.

Plug in your unit and turn the button to the preferred setting:

the red indicator light will turn on. The red light indicates the
activity of the heating resistor. It will go on and off when the
product is in use. It will be on at all times when the thermostat
is set to maximum.

minutes of preheating, you can start cooking.
Put the food on the grill.

Greasing the pieces of meat is recommended. If you try to turn
*
over the pieces of meat before they are cooked, some adherence
may occur.
The cooking time depends on the foods you use and your
*
personal tastes.
Assembly of the base (depending on the model):

Assemble the elements as indicated in the diagram on page
Make sure that the barbecue grill is properly clipped to the two
rounded hoops.
