5. Secure both the filament drawer and the door to the Z18 with one or two pieces of packing
tape.
6. Place the MakerBot Replicator Z18 onto the pallet so that the back corners of the printer fit
into the corner shaped pieces of white foam attached to the pallet.
Caution: Two people are required to lift the MakerBot Replicator Z18. Do not lift alone. To prevent
injury, lift with your legs, not your back.
7. Place the shipping box body over the MakerBot Replicator Z18 and pallet. Make sure that the
box is rotated correctly: the sides of the box showing unpacking instructions should line up
with the sides of your MakerBot Replicator Z18.
8. Insert the 34.5 inch foam pieces into the back corners of the shipping box with the corner
ends pointing up.
9. Insert the 37.5 inch foam pieces into the front corners of the shipping box with the corner
ends pointing up.

10. Cover the MakerBot Replicator Z18 with the shipping box lid.

11. Secure the packaged Z18 with the provided strapping. The two straps should run parallel to
each other and through the grooves in the pallet.

12. Secure the straps with buckles.
