FF-1Y/FUTURE FACTORY Firmware Version 1.2
Supplementary Notes
Thank you for choosing Free The Tone's FUTURE FACTORY. The latest version 1.2 firmware is installed in this
product. Please read this supplementary document since we made some improvements that are not covered
in the printed Owner's Manual supplied with the product.
A function to synchronize the panning speed to the delay time has been added. If tempo is
changed via tap entry or MIDI clock, the panning speed will follow the entered delay time.
To synchronize the speed of the panning function with tempo:
1. Press and hold down the PAN switch for about 2 seconds.
2. When the display shows "S.oF," turn the PARAMETER encoder until "S.On" appears.
3. Press the PARAMETER encoder to confirm your change. The changed setting is automatically stored even if the
display stops flashing and returns to usual operating mode without pressing the encoder.
NOTE
If the delay time is changed by turning the encoder, then the panning speed is not changed.
The setting is stored as a global setting. Please note that it is effective for all of the presets.
For a situation in which operators do not want to output the incoming signal when the effect
is turned off, a setting in which the input signal can be easily turned off (in muted status) has
been added. It is useful when used with a mixer or switching system, etc. When the effect is
turned on, the dry sound for A-DLY and B-DLY can be turned on/off freely irrespective of this
setting.
To turn on/off the output of the incoming signal when the effect is turned off:
1. Press and hold down the FUNC switch for about 2 seconds.
2. When the display shows "F.On,", turn the PARAMETER encoder until "F.oF" appears.
3. Press the PARAMETER encoder to confirm your change. The changed setting is automatically stored even if the
display stops flashing and returns to usual operating mode without pressing the encoder.
NOTE
With "F.On" (default), the incoming signal is output as it is if the effect is turned off. When set to "F.oF," the incoming
signal is muted if the effect is turned off.
The setting is stored as a global setting. Please note that it is effective for all of the presets.

  • Page 2 When changing the delay time via TAP tempo entry, the FF-1Y adjusts the delay time while changing the pitch of the outgoing delay sound just like an analog delay unit. For users who do not require this pitch-shifted sound, a function is provided to mute the pitch-shifted delay sound while the delay time is being adjusted.
