6. Remove the two screws 19 and pull the tip ejector 23 into the down position as shown in
the picture on page 25.
7. While the tip ejector 23 is in the down position, open its upper end slightly on both sides and
pull downwards. Remove the fastening spring 22. Remove the ejector link 24. Press the piston bar
16 beam into the down position. Finally unfasten the four screws 20/21 and the tip ejector.
The ejector slide 25 and two springs 26 can be removed for maintenance. This does not belong to
the regular long-term service, however.
8. Disengage the housing bottom 17 and piston bar 16 from each other. You can disengage the tip
cone assembly 42 by pulling it away from the piston assembly 31. Disengage the piston assembly
by pulling it out sideways from the piston bar as shown in the picture on page 25. Remove the
piston spring 33.
7.2.6 Service instructions for multichannel pipette tip cones / cylinders
Volume: 1–10 μl
Disengage the tip cone cover 32 from the tip cone A (Picture 14) by easing it off with a fl at-head
screwdriver. The tip cone cover and the interior parts of the tip cone, the second support 35, the
O-ring 37, the sealing casing 38, the dash spring 39, the spring support 40, and the O-ring 41, can all
be removed in order by using the piston assembly 31 as shown in the picture. If some parts remain in
the tip cone, they can be removed by turning the tip cone upside down and tapping it.

Volumes: 5–50 μl, 10–100 μl, and 30–300 μl
Disengage the tip cone cover 32 from the tip cone B (Picture 15) by easing it off with a fl at-head
screwdriver. The tip cone cover and the interior parts of the tip cone, the O-ring spring 34, the
supporter ring 35, and the O-ring 36 ( 5–50μl/10–100μl: also O-ring 37), can all be removed in order
by using the piston assembly 31 as shown in the picture. If some parts remain in the tip cone, they
can be removed by turning the tip cone upside down and tapping it.
