    GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Field of application The FT 6060 fresh-air laboratory heating oven has been designed as an item of laboratory equipment to be used for heating items and materials in the laboratory. The items or materials to be heated in batches may bear traces of combustible liquid solvents.

    SETUP AND INSTALLATION Unpacking the unit Unpack the unit, remove the transport safety fixtures from the inner chamber and remove any dirt or dust which may have accumulated in transit.     SETUP AND INSTALLATION Installation Type of installation: Keep the unit away from direct sunlight. UV radiation may cause discolouration of plastic parts. Place the fresh-air laboratory heating oven on a firm, fireproof surface (e.g. laboratory table, support frame) in a stable upright position. The unit has been designed for stand-alone installation.

All of the unit's metallic components are included in the electric safeguards / earth bonding. The homogeneous materials used in the inner chamber and the design features of the mechanical moving parts rule out the possibility of arcing as a result of mechanical friction.

    MAINTENANCE Tests The safety functions of the oven must be checked by a qualified agency at least once a year. The inspections, test sequences and the functions of the safety devices should be recorded in a log book wherever possible. If the tests indicate that any safety devices do not work properly, the oven must be shut down until its normal working state has been resumed and has been checked by a qualified agency.
