4. OPERATING THE BATEC / USER GUIDE

4.1. DELIVERY

Your new Batec will be delivered in a cardboard box. In order to prevent damage during
transport, parts that must be assembled later, like the battery, are packaged separately
inside the cardboard box.

4.2. UNPACKING:

Check that the outside of the cardboard box hasn't been damaged in any
way during transport.
Remove all of the packing materials.
Remove the parts of the Batec (including the battery and charger) from the
cardboard box and check that they are all there.
Check that all the parts are in proper conditions, without any sort of
damage, scratches, tears, dents, irregularities or other defects.
If you find any problems, or if any pieces are missing, notify the authorised
distributor immediately.

4.3. LIFTING AND TRANSPORT:

The Batec has been designed so that users can easily remove and detach the battery on
their own.
When taking the Batec on any means of transport (car, bus, train, plane,
etc.), we recommend removing the battery before your journey: turn the
battery key to OPEN, remove the key and then remove the battery.
When lifting the Batec, we recommend removing the weight as indicated in
section 3.10 and the battery as per section 4.9.1.
When transporting the Batec in the boot of a vehicle, we recommend
leaving it attached to a wheelchair whenever possible.
The Batec is not designed to be used as a means of transport inside a vehicle.
