Connecting the Camera to LAN

When the XIS-10DC camera is connected to LAN
(Local Area Network), first assign an IP address to the
camera using the supplied IP Setup Program, then set up
the Administrator Tool.
To begin with
• Connect the camera to the network and turn on the
power.
• Connect the computer with the supplied IP Setup
Program installed to the same network segment as that
of the camera.
For installing the IP Setup Program, see "Installing IP
Setup Program" on page 9.
The IP Setup Program allows the network
configuration for the camera(s) connected to the same
network segment. Therefore, if you want to use the
camera in a different network segment, you should
temporarily change the IP address of the computer to
start the IP Setup Program and connect it to the same
network segment as that of the camera.
• Disable the firewall feature of the computer.
For the setting, see "Disabling the firewall of
Windows XP" on page 14.
To assign an IP address to the camera
using IP Setup Program

Start the IP Setup Program.
Select All Programs from the Windows start
menu, then select IP Setup Program, or double-
click the IP Setup Program icon on the desktop.
The Network tab of the IP Setup Program is
displayed.
The program detects the cameras connected to the
network and lists them on the Network tab window.
As one XIS-10DC camera is composed of the XIS-
NT10 (Panorama Camera) and SNC-RZ30N/P
(Zoom Camera), the information on the two models
appears in the list. You need to assign different IP
addresses to the two models.

Click on the information of the XIS-NT10 or SNC-
RZ30N/P to select it.
The network settings for the selected camera model
are displayed.

Set the IP address.
To obtain the IP address automatically from a
DHCP server:
Select Obtain an IP address automatically.
The IP address, Subnet mask and Default gateway
are assigned automatically.
