Prior to connect the LED4Dxxx to a LED driver, check if the LED can handle the maximum LED
current or the LED current limit is configured correctly. The LED4Dxxx features an EEPROM
which contains the maximum LED current, wavelength and forward voltage of the LED. If the
LED4Dxxx is used with the DC4100 or DC4104 Four Channel LED driver, the LED current limit
is automatically configured correctly.
1. Connect the LED4Dxxx to the LED driver with the 14 pin M16 plug on the connector
cable.
2. Check the current limit.
3. Switch on the LED driver.
For more information about the DC4100/DC4104 Four Channel LED Drivers, please refer to the
respective manual.
2.1 Microscope Mounting
To mount the LED4Dxxx to a microscope, attache the appropriate microscope adapter to the
aperture of the LED4Dxxx. Then mount the LED4Dxxx to the microscope port.

2.2 Liquid Light Guide coupling
To couple light exiting the LED4Dxxx into a Liquid Light Guide (LLG), follow the instructions on
the
LED4Dxxx
web site in the tab LLG installation.
