Corrective actions
Check the air gap. Install a new friction disc, if
necessary.
Check the electrical connection and correct faults, if
found.
Check the field coil supply voltage and correct faults, if
found.
Eliminate mechanical blocks.
Check the rectifier and replace it, if necessary.
Check the resistance of the field coil. Install a new
brake, if necessary.
Install a new friction disc or a new brake, if necessary.
Check the air gap. Install a new friction disc, if
necessary.
Check the field coil supply voltage and correct faults, if
found.
Check whether residual voltage is applied to the field
coil and correct faults, if found.
Eliminate mechanical blocks.
Check the field coil supply voltage and correct faults, if
found.
Check the microswitch switching behaviour and adjust
the switch, if necessary.
Check the microswitch and replace it, if necessary.
Check the air gap. Install a new friction disc, if
necessary.
Check the air gap. Install a new friction disc, if
necessary.
Air gap too large
Check the spring force. Install a new brake, if
necessary.
