    ASSEMBLY STEPS 1. PREPARATION • Before assembling make sure that you will have enough space around the item. • Use the supplied parts and hardware for the assembly. • Before assembling, please check whether all the required parts have been supplied as per the exploded drawing on the opposite page.
  • Page 11 ASSEMBLY STEPS STEP 3: HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY STEP 3 Remove 4 Hexagon Bolts (M8 x 15) (24) and 4 Curve Washers (Ø8) (37) from the tube of Main Frame (1). Remove the Bolts with (S6) Allen Wrench provided. Connect the Sensor Wire (26) from the Main Frame (1) to the Extension Sensor Wire (59) from the Handlebar Post (3).
  • Page 12 ASSEMBLY STEPS STEP 4: SEAT POST ASSEMBLY STEP 4 Remove 3 Flat Washers (Ø8 x Ø20 x 1.5) (38) and 3 Nylon Nuts (M8) (42) from underneath the Seat Cushion (27). Guide bolts underneath the Seat Cushion (27) through the holes on top of the Seat Post (25) and attach with the 3 Flat Washers (Ø8 x Ø20 x 1.5) (38) and 3 Nylon Nuts (M8) (42) that were originally removed.
  • Page 13 ASSEMBLY STEPS STEP 5: HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY STEP 5 Remove 2 Hexagon Bolts (M8 x 15) (24) and 2 Curve Washers (Ø8) (37) from the Handlebar Post (3). Remove the Bolts with the Allen Wrench (S6) provided. Insert the Hand Pulse Sensor Wires (53) into the hole of the Handlebar Post (3) and then pull them out from the top end of the Handlebar Post (3).

  • Page 15 CONSOLE FUNCTIONS PULSE: Press the “MODE” button until “PULSE” appears. Before measuring your pulse rate, please place the palm of your hands on both of the contact pads. The monitor will show your current heart beat rate in beats per minute (BPM) on the LCD after 6-7 seconds.

    EXERCISE INSTRUCTIONS Using your Trojan Shape 240 Exercise Bike, provides you with several benefits, it will improve your physical fitness, tone muscle and in conjunction with a calorie controlled diet, help you lose weight. THE WARM UP PHASE This stage helps get the blood flowing around the body and the muscles working properly. It will also reduce the risk of cramp and muscle injury.
  • Page 17 MUSCLE TONING To tone muscle while on the Trojan Shape 240 Exercise Bike you will need to have the resistance set quite high. This will put more strain on your leg muscles and may mean you cannot train for as long as you would like.

    MAINTENANCE CLEANING The Trojan Shape 240 Exercise Bike can be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents on plastic parts. Please wipe your perspiration off the Trojan Shape 240 Exercise Bike after each use.

    Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. MUSCLE CHART The exercise routine that is performed on the Trojan Shape 240 Stationary Bike will develop the lower body muscle group as well as condition the circulatory system and provide a good aerobic workout. These muscle groups are highlighted on the muscle chart below.

    CONDITIONING GUIDELINES How you begin your exercise program depends on your physical condition. If you have been inactive for several years, or are severely overweight, you must start slowly and increase your time on the equipment, a few minutes per workout. Initially, you may be able to exercise only for a few minutes in your target zone, however, your aerobic fitness will improve over the next 6 to 8 weeks.
