Wheel slips during
rotation.
Grinding creates a

Possible Cause
Machine on uneven surface.
Stone wheel out of balance.
One side of wheel is saturated.
Loose fasteners.
Possible Cause
Too much pressure being applied.
Poor grade of wheel.
Debris on wheel.
Insufficient torque adjustment.
Screw or knob not tightened down.
Jig is slipping.
Support arm not parallel to wheel.
Correction *
Place machine on flat surface.
Dress wheel.
Allow wheel to dry. Do not leave idle
wheel immersed in water.
Check all fasteners.
Correction *
Use lighter pressure; let the wheel do the
work.
Use quality wheels.
Dress wheel for a fresh surface. Clean
debris from tank, and refill with fresh
water.
Use torque adjust knob to remedy.
Tighten down wheel fasteners (do not
overtighten).
Make sure jig is tightened down.
Adjust support arm to make parallel.
