C AUTION
Prior to first use, we recommend boiling the maximum volume of water in the kettle at least 3 times, then
pouring it out. The kettle is then ready for operation. The kettle may only be used with the supplied base.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Remove the kettle from the base (6), press button (4) to open the lid (1) and fill the kettle with water (only
up to the permitted maximum). Close the lid by pressing.
2.
Place the kettle on the base (6) - electric contacts will get connected automatically. Thanks to the central
connector design, the kettle can turn around 360° and be put on the base from any side.
3.
Connect the base to the mains. Red symbols on the display will shine for a few seconds and then the
display will show the actual temperature of the water (if the water temperature is higher than 30 °C).
4.
Press the START/STOP switch (7) to turn the kettle on. The START/STOP button (7) is backlit red until the
water temperature reaches 30 °C and the display will show the actual temperature.
5.
If you do not set the temperature, the kettle automatically heats the water to 100 °C. After reaching the
boiling point, you are warned by a sound signal and the kettle automatically switches to the KEEP WARM
function (this function is active for 30 minutes and is indicated by red dots on the display and the START/
STOP button (7) is backlit red).
Press the START/STOP button (7) to stop the heating or KEEP WARM function.
6.
Temperature setting
Press the buttons (9) to set the desired water temperature (from 50 to 100 °C by 5 °C steps). Press the
START/STOP button (7) to confirm. The kettle will start heating the water up to the set temperature, the
START/STOP button (7) will be backlit red until the water temperature will reach 30 °C and the display will
show the actual temperature.
7.
Press the START/STOP button (7) again to stop the heating at any time you desire. After reaching the
boiling point, you are warned by a sound signal and the kettle automatically switches to the KEEP WARM
function (this function is active for 30 minutes and is indicated by red dots on the display and the START/
STOP button (7) is backlit red).
8.
KEEP WARM function
If water reaches the set temperature between 50 °C and 90 °C, the KEEP WARM function automatically
maintains the temperature. If water reaches the set temperature between 90 °C and 100 °C, the KEEP
WARM function automatically maintains the water at 90 °C temperature. Press the START/STOP button (7)
to stop the KEEP WARM function. If you do not turn the kettle off by pressing the START/STOP button (7),
it will turn off automatically after 30 minutes (the display will show the actual temperature of the water).
9.
Standby mode
If you do not press any button on the base for 30 minutes, it will turn off automatically and the backlit
button will go out (it applies even if the kettle is off the base).
Press the ON/OFF button to get the kettle ready for a next use.
Note: A small amount of water drops appearing on the base (6) is not a sign of a defect. It is a small
amount of condensed steam, which deactivates the kettle thermostat.
