Caution
Unplug the control unit before
any work is done on the pump!
Please follow all safety instruction in Chapter 1.
The Aqualift F chamber should be pumped empty
before any maintenance work is done – this will
prevent water from leaking out of the tank.
The pump can be removed by unlocking the red

let and the three pump locking levers. This can all
be done quickly without the use of any tools. The
backwater flap in the outlet of the Aqualift F pre-
vents any wastewater in the outlet pipe from flo-
wing back into the tank. (Illustration 8).

completely removed from the tank and cleaned.
Any maintenance must be handled by a qualified
professional. Repairs should only be handled by
the manufacturer or a licensed representative of
the manufacturer.
General Maintenance
According to DIN 1986-3 maintenance from a
qualified professional should take place at the fol-
lowing intervals:
For single homes the maintenance should take
place every 12 months, and multi-family homes
every 6month.
For commercial applications the maintenance
should take place every 3 months.
This maintenance should consist of a visual in-
spection of all system parts. The system should
be checked for build up and worn out parts. The
following listed parts should also be visually in-
spected and cleaned / replaced if build up / da-

Remove the pump. Drain out any water out of the

water flap. After removing the coupling piece (by
loosening the screws) the backwater flap can be
removed. It is also advisable at this stage to in-
spect and clean the outlet pressure pipe since full
access to this pipe is now present.

storage tank and check to make sure the hose has
free passage all the way to the control unit. Re-
move any condensation water if present. Replace
the hose. Remove the pressure sensor pipe by
unlocking the red quick release clasp and pulling
it out of the storage tank. Check the sensor pipe
for debris or blockages. Insert the pressure pipe
with its opening pointed down into a bucket of
water. If the pump activates then the pressure sy-
stem is in operating order. If the pump does not
activate please contact KESSEL Customer Ser-
vice.
Caution
Before placing the pressure sensor pipe back into
the storage tank, the tank must be pumped free of
water so that the switching levels remain properly
calibrated.

move the sensor. Place the sensor into a bucket
of water – if the pump activates and the LED on
the control unit lights, the system is in operational
order. Replace the optical sensor and secure with
the two screws. Acknowledging any malfunctions
on the control unit can be handled as stated in the
control unit's user's manual.
