Bend hand rails 77 as shown in top view of awning deck and rear view and paint hand rails and spacers 78 light
grey and steps 79 brown. Let all parts dry thoroughly, assemble them to awning deck stairs and cement parts
with CA-cement.
Paint antenna 83 light grey, let dry and then assemble radar antenna from parts 80 to 83 as shown in Fig. B.
Cut off 30 mm from one pushrod 146 and bend to throttle lever 85 as shown in Fig. B. Paint light grey, let dry,
cement into throttle console 84, cement handle 86 in position and paint black.
Paint steering wheel 88 black, let dry and cement into wheel console 87.
Drill 2 mm dia. holes horizontally through mast 89 and into one end of boom 91, assemble both parts with con-
necting pin 90, cement them with CA-cement and paint them brown. Bend the drilled flanges of masthead fitting
92 downwards and cement the fitting on top of and the cleats 93 against the mast as shown on the side view.
Paint the lamp parts 94 to 96 of the masthead light with exception of the „glass" portion of part 94 grey, let dry
and cement parts together. Cement eyebolt 98 into socket 97. Paint the side lights 99 grey and green and grey
and red and the boards 100 green and red respectively. Let the paint dry thoroughly, then cement parts together
as shown in top and side view.
Eventually cement split pins 102 into stanchions 101.
Parts 2. Bend the brass wire parts pulpit 103, two rails 104, two platform struts 105, eight handholds 108, two
hand rails 110 and rail 111 as shown in top and side view. Cut vents 109 to the required length and pre-drill them
for screws 119 with a 2 mm dia. twist drill.
To conclude the preparations sand and paint all
previously assembled and still unpainted acces-
sories, then paint all the various bent wire parts,
bathing platform 106, stern light 107 and the inner
portions of vents 109, as can be seen from the ge-
neral view on the box top and the various detail
illustrations on the box top and on one of the box
sides.
Begin at the bow to mount the various accessories
and then proceed towards the stern. First drill two
2.5 mm dia. holes for the ends of pulpit 103 and
twelve 3 mm dia. holes for stanchions 101 through
bulwark edges 11 and 13 as shown in Fig. 9. Then
slide two stanchions 46 and two connecting slee-
ves 48 over the pulpit, push the stanchions and the
pulpit ends into the respective holes, align all parts
carefully and spot cement them in position. Then
secure their lower ends to the bulwark with stan-
chion holders 112.
Fix rails 104 with three stanchions 46 and holders
112 each in the same manner and cement their
front ends into connecting sleeves 48.
Cement three fenders 51 per side to each other, spot cement them in position and then secure them with fender
racks 50.
File a slot to accept the anchor shaft into anchor clamp 113, bend that portion upwards as shown in the top left
hand corner of plan sheet 2 and then cement the clamp in position. Cement the windlass onto the deck, fix chain
114 to anchor 115, cement the anchor into the clamp, lead the chain over the sprocket wheel 56 and cement its
end to the dent of the windlass base.
Now put the superstructure on the deck over the coaming and spot cement side wall brackets 59 in positions
