11 Installation

11.1 Safety instructions
● Observe accident prevention requirements.
Generally have 2 people install the unit.
● Danger of injury when working at height.
Use appropriate, certified climbing aids
(ladders).
● Danger of injury from falling ventilation unit
or hood (Trio QD AR and QD AL): Ensure
that ventilation unit and hood (Trio) are
mounted perfectly. Only install the venti-
lation unit on a ceiling/wall with sufficient
load-bearing capacity (at least 200 kg/m³).
WS 170 units are designed for wall

mounting (vertical mounting position).
Installation is also permitted on a suitable
socket/frame with sufficient space for the
condensate draing.
11.2 Removing/Fitting covers
310/410 320/470
Removing covers
1. Tilt front plate forwards at the two top
corners (magnets [M]) and remove from
above.
2. Release the 4 screws on the front cover
(bayonet closure) and remove front cover.
Note information on sticker.
Fitting covers
1. Place front cover in the bottom housing
rail, close and secure with 4 screws
(bayonet closure).
2. Fit front plate in the two lugs [L] and
close (magnets [M]).

Removing/fitting front cover
1. Loosen the two quick-release locks and
remove the front cover.
2. To lock, fit the front cover and secure with
the two quick-release locks.

1. Mount front cover installation aid [M] (Fig.)
and fit locking bolt [S] opposite.
2. Remove the 8 screws that hold the front
cover in place.
3. Unscrew locking bolt [S] and take off front
cover.
4. To fit the front cover, proceed in reverse
order. Ensure that the cover is seated
correctly and no false air can be drawn in.
