3. COPYING IN THE AUTOMATIC PAPER SELECTION MODE

When the pow er sw itch is turned ON, the Autom atic Paper Selection (APS) m ode is set as
the default m ode.
In this m ode, if you place an original on the original feed tray or on the glass, the copier
autom atically detects the size of the original, and selects paper of the sam e size as the original.
This m ode is available only for actual-size (100%) copying.

Check that the Automatic Paper Selection
mode is selected.

Place the original(s) on the original feed
tray or on the glass.
When Using the Automatic Document Feeder
. After aligning the edges of the originals, set
them face up on the original feed tray and
align the slides to the edges of the originals.
. The num ber of originals you can load at a
tim e is show n below .
Letter, Letter-R, Statem ent-R : 60
. When the START key is pressed, the sensor
detects the size of the original, and selects
the paper size m atched to the original.
Note: Rem ove any paper clips or staples from
originals before placing them on the
original feed tray.
