E - Vacuum Cleaners
See figure 2. The particles collect on the outside of the filter. Cleaning is carried out every
other hour or when the vacuum performance decreases. Replacing the entire filter package
is recommended. When only changing the socks, the filter ring should also be replaced.

Routine inspection and service

Follow the list below to routinely inspect, and repair or replace worn and damaged parts
on the inside and outside of the vacuum cleaner. See also Appendix: Service form. Contact
your nearest authorized distributor or Nederman for advice on technical service or if you
require help with spare parts.

What to look for
Leaking suction hoses and couplings.
Damaged cables and plugs
Worn out, aged and leaking gaskets.
Worn out filters.
Full or torn filter bag.
Damaged silencing material.
Dirty float ball.
Dirty ejector nozzle.
Damaged or frayed rubber pad on the wear
plate.
Wiring on the card is burned.
Loose cable connections and screws.
Worn out carbon brushes
Grooved commutator
Resistance in the bearings
Check that the motors are running clockwise
as seen from above. See warning below.
Warning! Risk of personal
injury.
Do not touch the motor with
any tool during this operation.
Control the thermal function by clogging
the cooling air inlets with sheets of paper.
The vacuum should soon stop without
overheating (approximately 75°C/167°F).
The motors do not start using the main
switch.
Service
Replace. For grounding, see Figure 4.

Clean or replace a full filter bag. Replace a
torn filter bag.
Replace.
Clean the float ball at least once a month.
Clean.
Replace the wear plate.
Replace the card.
Secure cable connections, and tighten
screws.
Replace.
Note! Replace brushes after 900
hours. See figure 13.
Replace.
Replace the motor.
See Section 9, Troubleshooting.
Replace the main switch.
