Turning this unit to either on or standby
SYSTEM POWER and STANDBY work differently
depending on the selected mode that appears on the
display window.
• When normal, Zone 2 or Zone 3 mode is selected, you
can turn the main unit, Zone 2 or Zone 3 to on/standby
individually.
• When System mode is selected, or when "2000" or
"2002" (see page 71) is selected as the amplifier library
(L:AMP) code, you can turn the main unit, Zone 2 and
Zone 3 to on/standby simultaneously.

Special considerations for DTS software
The DTS signal is a digital bitstream. If you attempt to
send the DTS signal to the second/third room you will
only hear digital noise (that may damage your speakers).
Thus, the following considerations and adjustments need
to be made when playing DTS encoded discs.
For DVDs encoded with DTS
Only 2 channel analog audio signals may be sent to the
second/third room.
Use the disc menu to set the DVD player's mixed 2-
channel left and right audio outputs to the PCM or Dolby
Digital soundtrack.
For CDs encoded in DTS
To avoid unexpected noise, DO NOT USE the Zone 2/
Zone 3 feature with CDs encoded in DTS.
