Connecting to a Personal Computer

Connecting to an IBM-PC/AT Series Computer

Connect the TO HOST connector of the P-120/P-120S to the
RS-232C port on your IBM computer, using a standard 8-pin
MINI DIN → 9-pin D-SUB cross cable. Set the HOST SELECT
switch to the "PC-2" position.
Refer to your software owner's manual for information on any
settings you might have to make on the computer side.

• If your system doesn't work properly with the connections and settings listed above, your software may require dif-

HOST SELECT switch to "PC-1".
• When using the TO HOST terminal to connect to a personal computer using Windows, a Yamaha MIDI driver must
be installed in the personal computer. The Yamaha MIDI driver can be obtained at Yamaha's home page on the
World Wide Web, <http://www.yamaha-xg.com/>.
