INTRODUCTION Congratulations on the purchase of your BIO COMPRESSION SYSTEMS MODEL IC-BAP-DL BIO ARTERIAL PLUS Arterial Blood Flow Enhancement System and garments. The BIO ARTERIAL PLUS is an Intermittent, Sequential, Pneumatic Compression System that se- quentially compresses both the foot and calf in patients suffering primarily from diabetic foot ul- cers or intermittent claudication (leg pain primarily from decreased arterial circulation). -

SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS The BIO ARTERIAL PLUS system is comprised of the Controller/Pump along with a set of bilateral garments with color coded tubing and contrasting style “quick” connectors. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Place the pump on a sturdy table or any other flat surface close to where you will be sitting. The pump has non-slip rubberized feet on the bottom. Placing anything under the pump can cause the unit to slide or move. ... - Page 8 NORMAL POWER-UP SEQUENCE On a normal power-up sequence, the IC-BAP-DL Bio Arterial Plus will go through the following: Current Mode Setting will be displayed for three seconds. Current Pressure Setting will be displayed for four seconds. Unit will now start running as along as the Valve was stopped in the correction location, other- wise a twenty second countdown will start to allow the valve to rotate to the correct starting position.

While the unit is running, press and hold the DOWN button first, then press and hold down the POWER button. Both buttons must be held down together for five seconds. If the DOWN button is accidentally released and the POWER button is still being pressed, the unit will turn off. After both buttons have been held down for five seconds, the display will show “rES”. -

TROUBLESHOOTING If the corrective action does not solve the problem, then call Bio Compression Systems, Inc. Be sure to have serial number available when calling for service.
