7. Functional Units

7.17 Operating Material Cooler

The solvent needed for operating the vacuum pump is cooled in the operating material cooler. If the
solvent is too warm, there may be noises in the pump.
The operating material cooler always operates when the vacuum pump is running. A sensor monitors the
temperature. When a selectable temperature is exceeded, the vacuum pump switches off.

7.18 Steam Generator

Optional equipment, for the M21 only
On electric machines, the saturated steam needed for distillation and drying is generated in the small
electric steam generator. The system is automatically vented and filled with fresh water.
