Description
Mains power supply
Mains power supply input for the frequency inverter
(3-phase)
This is the inverter's power output

Connect these terminals to a three-phase squirrel cage motor or a PM
motor.
FR-A820/A840: Connected to AC power supply terminals R/L1 and S/L2
Control circuit power
FR-A842: Connected to terminals P/+, N/–
FR-A846: Not applicable
Standard models only
Brake resistor connection
Connecting a brake resistor increases the regenerative braking capabil-
ity.Terminals depending on inverter capacities.
An optional external brake unit can be connected to these terminals.

Converter unit connection.
For separated converter type (FR-A842)
A DC reactor can be connected to these terminals (standard models
only).
You must remove the jumper before connecting the reactor.
