RST 330-400 EC DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY FOR THE MACHINE in accordance with the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC Väderstad-Verken AB, P.O. Box 85, SE-590 21 Väderstad, SWEDEN hereby confirms that the cultivation tools hereunder have been manufactured in accordance with the Council Directive 2006/42/EC. The above declaration covers the following machines: RST 330 and RST 400, manufacturing no.
Safety precautions Safety precautions Before using the implement Figure 1.1 ! Carefully read the instructions and make sure you understand their meaning. ! Always pay attention to the text and illustrations marked with this symbol! ! This implement is designed for preparing the soil in open fields. Learn to handle the implement carefully and correctly!Drive carefully if there are rocks firmly embedded in the ground.
RST 330-400 Other safety precautions ! Prior to connecting the hydraulic hoses, be sure that the male couplings of the implement and the femail couplings of the tractor are clear and free of dirt. ! The implement and its tyres are dimensioned for a maximum travel speed of 40 km/h during transport on the road.
Safety precautions 1.3.1 Drive carefully! Always be safety conscious! Figure 1.4 The implement is dimensioned for a maximum travel speed of 40 km/h during transport on the road. To be able to drive at a speed of 40 km/h with this type of implement, the road surface must be in excellent condition.
RST 330-400 Machine plates ! The machine is equipped with either a combination of signs 1.5.1, Serial number plate, and 1.5.2, CE plate, or 1.5.3, Machine label. 1.5.1 Number plate Figure 1.6 Type Manufacturing number. 1.5.2 CE plate Figure 1.7 Work width Transport width CE number...

RST 330-400 Moving the machine when not hitched to a tractor NOTE! If the machine must be moved when not hitched to a tractor,it must be transported on a ma- chine trailer or lorry flatbed! The machine must be rolled onto and off the transport vehicle using a tractor. Lifting with a crane is prohibited! 1 Raise the machine to the full lifting height.
RST 330-400 Assembly instructions Never work under the implement during loading, unloading or installation work. Pay close atten- tion to safety! The implement is very heavy.Only use lifting devices that have sufficient lifting capacity. For weight indications, see ”5.2 Technical data” on page 26. Depending on the transport method and other factors, the implement is delivered more or less as- sembled from the factory.
Assembly instructions Assembly 1 Unload the preimplements and the two connector from the frame. 2 Disassemble the transport support. See “Figure 2.1”. (Please return the support to Väderstad- Verken). 3 Assemble the preimplement in the quick connector supports as shown in “Figure 2.2”, A - C, using a traversing crane or a loader.

Assembly instructions 6 Attach the hydraulic hoses on the implement. See fig. 5in the Spare Parts List. 7 Grease the implement according to the greasing chart. See ”4.1 Regular maintenance” on page NOTE! It is imperative to retighten the bolt joints (E) at the axel bearing connectors on the frame supports.
RST 330-400 Instructions and adjustments Hitching to the tractor and unhitching Figure 3.1 Figure 3.2 3.1.1 Hitching to the tractor Ensure that the tractor tow bar is secured. Connect the hydraulic hoses. Make sure that the hoses, marked with plastic rings, are connected in pairs to each twin-operating hydraulic connector on the tractor.
Instructions and adjustments Height adjustment of the towing eyelet Figure 3.4 The towing eyelet of the implement can be set at different heights to suit the different towing heights of the tractor. When the implement is in the work position on a hard surface, and the lifting ram of the transport wheels is at the end stop, the frame should be parallel with the ground.
RST 330-400 Stabilizer rod - Crossboard Figure 3.6 Upon delivery of the implement, the stabilizer rods are fitted on the Crossboard. Proceeed as follows if the rods need to be removed: 3.4.1 Dismantling The implement should have been lowered to the ground. Undo the locking device (B) and pull out the stabilizer rod.
Service and maintenance Service and maintenance Figure 4.1 ! All maintenance and service work should only be done when the implement has been lowered to the ground. Never work under the implement unless it has been properly secured using tres- tles or similar firm supports.

RST 330-400 4.1.1 Inspect the wheel play Figure 4.4 It is imperative the the wheel play is adjusted following the first season of use. Lower the machine to its work position. Touch the wheels and if any play can be felt, the bearings should be tightened. Disassemble the hub cap (A) and remove the roll pin (B).
Service and maintenance Roller unit service Be very careful when servicing the roller ring unit. The implement is very heavy. Only use lifting devices that have sufficient lifting capacity. Service on the roller ring unit should only be done on a level and strong surface.

RST 330-400 6 Open the turning washer (A) at the end of the axle and loosen the two screws (B). Figure 4.9 Figure 4.10 7 Lift the axle in either end using a traversing crane or a loader. 8 Lift away the axle lock, axle bearing and the rings from the axle until the desired ring can be accessed. The shaft bearing can be loosened by pulling out the roller ring behind the bearing.
Service and maintenance Replacing the bearing in the hydraulic ram of the pre- implements Figure 4.11 1 Undo and remove the piston rod guide (A) using the hook wrench (B). 2 Pull out the ram piston. Replace the seal. NOTE! Be very sure that the seals face the correct way.
