15. Trigger gun for 3 seconds into a grounded metal
waste pail holding a metal part of gun firmly to the
pail.
16. Engage trigger lock. Install the spray tip and/or air
cap. Disengage trigger lock and trigger gun to flush
tip and/or air cap with solvent. Engage trigger lock
and remove the spray tip and/or air cap.
17. Close B side solvent flush valve.

18. Turn off air regulator to solvent pump. Close the
bleed type air supply valve to the solvent pump.
19. Disengage the trigger lock and trigger the gun into a
grounded metal waste pail until flow stops and pres-
sure is relieved.
Procedure for Polyester Model 24W609
with Solvent Flush Pump
1. Move remote mix manifold handle to standby posi-
tion.
2. Open the solvent inlet valve (J).
3. Turn on the solvent pump and adjust the air pres-
sure.
4. Engage the gun trigger lock.
5. Remove the spray tip from the gun.
6. Disengage the trigger lock and trigger the gun into a
grounded metal waste pail until the mixed fluid is
purged from the system and clean solvent is flow-
ing.
7. Engage trigger lock. Install the spray tip and/or air
cap. Disengage trigger lock and trigger gun to flush
tip and/or air cap with solvent. Engage trigger lock
and remove the spray tip and/or air cap.
