Liberty Blue™ 2-Piece Reaction Vessel Assembly Instructions
The 30 mL, 2-piece reaction vessel with replaceable frit (PN 551290) allows for easy vessel
maintenance at a fraction of the cost of a new vessel. The replaceable polyethylene frit is
easily accessible for routine maintenance or vessel events. This vessel should be used for
syntheses scales between 0.005 and 0.25 mmol (up to 1 g of resin).
Vessel Assembly
To assemble the reaction vessel:
1. Insert the polyethylene frit (PN 217410) into the bottom of the reaction vessel tube
(PN 217400). Ensure the frit is not damaged after pressing it into the vessel.
CEM recommends replacing the polyethylene frit after ~25 peptides or 500 couplings.
The frit should also be replaced in the event of a vessel clogging error or if the vessel
fails a drain test.
2. Place the reaction vessel o-ring (PN 215065) into the groove in the reaction vessel
base (PN 217405). Ensure that the o-ring is fully seated in the groove. Screw the
reaction vessel tube into the base until hand tight, and connect the drain line
assembly to the reaction vessel base. The 1/8" fitting should be finger tight.
3. Connect the vessel body to the reaction vessel attenuator.

