    DESIGN AND FUNCTION Series 48 Function Valve is closed and opened pneumatically. Closing: The valve mechanism including protection ring (8) moves towards the valve aperture until it touches the mechanical stop (4). Due to continued pressure, valve gate (1) with the assembled VATRING (7) and counter plate (2) spread apart from the guide plate (3).

    Series 48 OPERATION Bake-out Valve inside under vacuum pressure ≤ 10 mbar to prevent oxidation. Valve should be evacuated to vacuum pressure ≤ 10 mbar in intermediate position to reduce pump time. Easiest way to reach the position is to unlock the valve mechanism and disconnect the CDA supply.

Close valve. Disconnect compressed air supply. After disconnecting the compressed air, make sure that the actuator is depressurized! Disconnect electrical power supply.
