    Rittal products or products and accessories recommended by Rittal. This is essential to ensure proper operation. – Do not make any changes to the Perforex BC machining centre other than those described in these and other applicable operating instructions. – The operational safety of the Perforex BC machining centre is guaranteed only for its approved use.

    – Work on electrical equipment must be performed only by qualified electri- cians. – For all work on the electrical equipment of the Perforex BC machining cen- tre, the main switch must be switched off by the company’s, technically responsible supervisor and be secured with a lock from being switched on again.

    Personal safety equipment The operating and maintenance personnel must always wear personal pro- tective equipment for all work on the Perforex BC machining centre. The per- sonal protective equipment comprises of at least the following components: – Safety work shoes: for all work on the machine.

  • Page 11 Main switch Actuating the black main switch located on the front door of the enclosure (Fig. 2, item 5) switches the energy supply to your Perforex BC machining centre on or off. All auxiliary equipment is supplied with the necessary oper- ating voltage via the enclosure.

    It serves the mechanical machining of panels and cubes. Functional description and components The Perforex BC machining centre is a mechanical drilling and milling centre for machining thin sheets and panels, as well as, depending on the equip- ment, cubes, such as enclosure housings.

    4.3.2 System recovery An industrial PC is installed in the operating element of your Perforex BC machining centre. This PC is very robust and only very rarely are there mal- functions with the hard disk. If, however, your PC no longer responds, it may be necessary to install a new hard disk and reload the machine data.
