Follow the instructions carefully to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you. You can also look forward to your purchase providing you with a long and satisfactory service.

    c. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.

    BEFORE USE FITTING THE ACCESSORIES WARNING: ENSURE THAT THE BATTERY HAS BEEN REMOVED BEFORE FITTING OR REMOVING THE ACCESSORIES . The multi-function tool should be supplied with the retaining disc held in place by the retaining screw. 1. Remove the retaining screw using the hex key supplied, and lift away the retaining disc.
  • Page 8 FITTING THE BATTERY PACK (NOT SUPPLIED) This multi purpose tool requires a 20V battery pack (6487040) and 1 Hour Charger (6487050) to operate. Both are available separately from your local Clarke dealer. TO FIT THE BATTERY 1. Slide the battery pack onto the base of the multi purpose tool.

    OPERATION 1. Hold the tool firmly and switch on by sliding the On/Off switch forward. The motor will then run continuously. Slide the switch back and the motor will stop. 2. Slowly apply the tool to the workpiece and proceed to sand or cut.

CHOOSING THE CORRECT SANDING SHEET Ensure you have the correct sanding paper for the application. Always GRIT USED FOR test on scrap material before using Removing paint and on your final workpiece.

    USING THE SCRAPER In scraping mode, the tool can be used to remove materials such as paint, sealant residues, adhesives, fabrics and vinyl from materials such as wood, plastic, metal and painted surfaces. 1. Switch the tool on before it touches the work piece.
  • Page 12 USING THE SAW ATTACHMENT In sawing mode, the tool can be used to cut materials such as wood, plastics and sheet metal such as aluminium, although the supplied blades are not ideally suited to cutting steel or similar ferrous metals. CAUTION: CLAMP YOUR WORKPIECE SECURELY IF POSSIBLE BEFORE STARTING WORK.

    Brushes are a consumable spare which should be replaced by your Clarke dealer or power tool repairer. • Refer to your CLARKE dealer if internal maintenance is required.
