3.1 The confi guration device in general
The confi guration device is used to read and change
settings in the controller. It communicates with the
controller via a modular cable. The confi guration device
is supplied with power from the controller. The confi gu-
ration device can also be supplied with 12V DC if the
controller is disconnected from it's power supply.
The values in the confi guration device's can be changed
locally, and then be transfered to the controller. Or the
values in the controller can be read in to the confi gura-
tion device and be changed in the confi guration device
and the controller simultaneously.
The values are organized under menus for different
function areas, and can be shown on the display.

Before you use the confi guration device, it needs to be
reset so that no old values etc remains in it's memory.

Quick info about usual applications
Reset the confi guration device
Hold down the A, B and C buttons at the same time,
and then switch the power on while still holding the
buttons down. When you release the buttons, a reset
is done and the confi guration device gets it's initial
standard values.
Changing values locally in the confi guration device
Press the A button. All the settings will only be changed
in the confi guration device, and are stored in a fi rm
memory, that does'nt change after voltage failure.
Read data from the controller to the confi guration
device
Press button B. When the digit 1 is shown, the values
in the controller can be read from the confi guration
device's display. Please note that the values are not
stored in the confi guration device's fi rm memory.
Therefore the values can't be transferred to another
controller. When the power is disconnected, the con-
fi guration device will lose it's settings and return to it's
initial values.
Change values in the controller
Read the data from the controller to the confi gura-
tion device by pressing button B. Then change the
values with the confi guration device. The changes are
transferred to the controller, and also stored in the
confi guration device's fi rm memory.
Transmit all data from the confi guration device's fi rm
memory to a controller
Press button C down for 3 seconds, until a zero is
shown on the display . After a few seconds the num-
ber one is shown, this indicates that the transfer was
successful, and the confi guration device's fi rm memory
has been transferred in to the connected controllers
memory.
Transfer all data from a controller to another.
Press button B. Perform a P (0)-reset at the RESET fun-
ction under the menu TEST, and all the settings that
has been transferred from the controller are stored in
the confi guration device's fi rm memory.
Connect the confi guration device to another controller,
press the button C for 3 seconds, until a zero is shown
on the display. After a few seconds the number one is
shown. This indicates that the transfer was successful,
and the confi guration device's fi rm memory has been
transferred to the connected controller.
