    General Information: 1) Visually inspect the drill for any signs of loose hard- ware or hydraulic fittings. 2) Inspect and lubricate all chains with chain lube. 4) Inspect all chains daily for proper adjustment: 5) Lubricate the clutch cams daily with grease along with spraying the hex coupler with chain lube.
  • Page 3 Wing Box Alignment: 1) Place blocks ahead of the wing gauge wheels. 2) Pull forward against the blocks to rock the wing frames back. 3) Pull forward until the stop bolts (1) are firmly against the folding arms. 4) Run a string line across the back of the drill toward the outer ends of the wings.
  • Page 4 How To Set Ground Drive High & Low Range Sprockets: Note: Set each sprocket range according to the seed rate manual. 1) Push down on the idler handle. 2) Remove the chain. 3) Route the chain, on the correct range, around the idlers and sprockets as shown to the right.
  • Page 5 To Unlock Openers: 1) Position the opener lock handles (1) in FIELD posi- tion (3). 2) Raise the openers completely to release the spring loaded locks. 3) Lower the openers. 49634 How To Set Opener Hydraulic Down Pressure: Note: The following information assumes the tractor is either a closed center and/or load sensing system.
  • Page 6 Opener Center Hydraulic (Non-Active Hydraulic System) Instructions: 1) Lower the opener frames and lock the tractor hydraulic lever forward temporarily while adjusting opener down-pressure. 2) Release the lock disk (1). Set the down-pressure with the adjustment knob (2) while watching the pres- sure gauge until the gauge shows the desired pres- sure.
  • Page 7 Opener Spring Down Pressure Adjustment: For planting in tire tracks and for no-till conditions, increase spring pressure on individual openers or on all openers. Adjust the spring together with the opener frame down pressure and opener height to keep the top of the opener parallel to the ground.
  • Page 8 How To Adjust Blade Spacing (Contact): 1) Raise and lock up the drill with the transport lock. 2) Remove the bolt (1) securing the opener disk on one side. Note: The bolt on the left side is a left- handed bolt and the bolt on the right side is a stan- dard right-hand threaded bolt.
  • Page 9 How To Fold Drill: Applies to BD7600(HD)-30 & BD7600(HD)-40 1) Par the tractor and drill on level ground with enough clearance to fold the drill. Put the tractor in park. 2) Fold markers, if installed. 3) Position all six opener locks handles (1) in ROAD position (2) and completely raise the openers.
  • Page 10 How To Lower Drill For Unfolding: Note The drill must be lowered before unfolding. 1) Park the tractor and drill on level ground and put the tractor in park. Make sure there is enough clear- ance to unfold the drill. 2) Confirm that the selector valve is set for transport.
  • Page 11 5) Position the center transport lift handle (1) down in ROAD position to lock the transport lock (2) in the latch (3). 49646 6) Slowly retract the fold cylinders. Completely fold wing frames until both wing gauge wheel pins (4) are secured by the latches (5).
  • Page 12 How To Lower Drill Once Unfolded: Note: Always unfold the drill before lowering to avoid tire damage. If a selector valve is installed, make sure it is set for transport lift. 1) Slowly extend the lift cylinders. Set the tractor hydraulic lever to neutral.
