Front panel

This topic describes the settings on the front panel and each of the network segments available for the
10G Network Active Bypass unit.

The following figure illustrates the front panel of the 10G Network Active Bypass unit:

Description
Ports that connect the 10G Network Active Bypass unit
to a Network IPS appliance.
Ports that connect the 10G Network Active Bypass unit
to the network.
Port used to access the 10G Network Active Bypass
unit's secured web-based management interface and
management console interface through the network.
Ports used to passively monitor and mirror network
traffic.
Note: The 10G Network Active Bypass unit provides
seven functioning TAP ports (1 through 7). TAP port 8 is
not available for use.
Port used to connect a host computer to the 10G
Network Active Bypass unit when using a serial terminal
emulator.
Indicates whether one or two power connections is
detected by the 10G Network Active Bypass unit:
Solid green = Connected
Solid red = Not connected
Indicates the system status of the 10G Network Active
Bypass unit:
Blinking green = System is booting
Solid green = Normal operations
Used for mounting the 10G Network Active Bypass unit
in a rack.
