WARNING
Death or severe injury caused by high voltage or current possible
Feeding test voltage to a CT can cause life-threatening voltages on other taps and/or
cores of the CT.
► Do not touch other taps or windings of the CT during the test.
► When testing multi-core CTs, make sure that no other windings of the CT are open.
Leave the secondary windings of the other (non-measured) cores connected, or short-
circuit them if the windings are open.
► If possible, use the optional CT SB2 switch box for testing multi-ratio CTs. The
CT Analyzer then automatically reduces the test voltage in a way that the maximum
possible voltage within the measurement setup (i.e., the voltage occurring at the tap
combination with the highest ratio) is limited to 200V.
WARNING
Death or severe injury caused by high voltage or current possible
Observe the following when running tests:
► Prevent the presence of other persons in the potentially dangerous area around the
test object.
► If necessary, perform appropriate additional safety precautions according to the
relevant standard, for example, by defining a high-voltage area around the test object
and securing this area against unauthorized access by using a barrier chain and
warning sign.
► Start the test only if all safety precautions were taken and if you are absolutely sure
that no other person is present in the potentially dangerous area around the test object.
