10. Remove the crankshaft.
11. Pull out the piston and connecting rod.
12. Remove the camshaft assembly.
6.10.4 To disassemble the piston and piston
connecting rod
1. Disassemble the crankcase. Refer to
disassemble the crankcase on page 33 .
2. Remove the top ring (A), the second ring (B) and the
oil ring (C).

3. Remove the piston rings (E) and the piston pin (F).
4. Remove the connecting rod (G).

1. Install the connecting rod.

2. Install the piston pin.
3. Install the piston rings.

a) Align the mark on the piston head with the longer
side of the connecting rod.
a) Use a pair of nose pliers and put one end of the
ring into the piston slot.
b) Push the ring together with the nose pliers and
put the other end into the piston slot.
c) Use the nose pliers to turn the rings to the
correct position.
