EIDE Interface Connectors (J8 & J9)
The FORCE 21264 Alpha PCI/ISA SBC supports up to four Enhanced IDE devices via 2 EIDE
connectors (J8 & J9). These are both 40-position (2 x 20), male, shrouded, keyed connectors. J8 is
designated Primary (marked IDE0) and J9 as secondary (marked IDE1) Table 3-13 lists the pin
numbers and functions of the IDE interface connectors. The DMA request/acknowledges and the
interrupt requests for the primary and secondary channels are separate signals. All others are
common.
