Design and function Design and function Design Cover Housing screw (cover) Housing Air inlet/ grommet Piston Air outlet/ silencer Housing screw (base plate) Base plate Impact plate The vibrations are generated by a free-swinging differential pressure pis- Function ton (5). In the standard version NTP B+C the piston (5) strikes against an impact plate (9) made of elastomer, thereby achieving a rubber hammer effect.
Transport and storage Transport and storage Special conditions of transport are not required. Transport conditions Packaging The NTP are packed and ready for assembly. Accessories and add-on parts are delivered unmounted, unless otherwise agreed upon. The packaging protects the NTP from transport damage. The packaging material has been selected from an environmentally safe and technically disposable point of view and is therefore recyclable.

Installation Observe the recommended cross-sections for valves and hoses. For the air supply, preferably use screw connections with integrated flat seal or liquid sealant. Avoid using sealing tape. Notice: Do not use longer screw threads than intended for the air supply (e.g.
Start-up and operation Start-up and operation Observe the safety instructions in Ch. Safety, from page 5 on. Please refer to Ch. Technical data, page 7 for permissible operating condi- Permissible tions. operating conditions Regulation of The frequency of the NTP should be set or regulated with the pressure frequency regulator of the maintenance unit.
Maintenance and servicing Maintenance and servicing Observe the safety instructions in Ch. Safety, from page 5 on. If necessary clean the surface of the NTP with a moist cloth to remove Cleaning dust deposits. To clean the NTP with pressurised water, proceed as follows: Close the supply air and exhaust air openings.
Troubleshooting Troubleshooting In the case of malfunctions of the NTP proceed as follows: Malfunctions and causes Malfunction Possible cause Corrective action No start Silencer polluted Clean silencer. Compressed air Check if there is enough pressure at the NTP. Check valve. A 3/2-way valve is strictly required, so supply that the supply line to the NTP is vented.
Spare parts and accessories 10 Spare parts and accessories Please provide the following details when ordering spare parts: Ordering of spare parts • required amount • description and position of spare part • type of NTP Delivery pair- IMPORTANT wise Please observe: Piston and housing are produced pairwise and can only be delivered together.
