It is very important that the transducer is correctly
installed with the sectors positioned as shown in the
illustration (seen from above). Each sector is connected
to a dedicated transceiver channel. In this context,
the phrase transceiver channel is used to describe one
single pathway through the transceiver. This pathway
contains one transmitter, one preamplifier and the necessary transmit/receive switching
circuitry.
