1. Unload the sample pan and open the
instrument's furnace.
2. Using the ball driver supplied in your TGA
accessory kit, loosen and remove the six
screws securing the balance chamber
faceplate to the instrument.
3. Take off the faceplate.
4. Push the thermocouple up from the bottom,
to feed it back into the balance chamber
(Figure 5.2).
5. Unplug the thermocouple from its connector
and remove the thermocouple from the
balance chamber.
6. Plug the new thermocouple carefully into
the connector.
