The RemotePort consists of a local unit and a remote unit. The local unit, shown at top in Figure 2-1, can be connected to a host computer with a standard Type A to Type B USB cable, a 2-m (6.5-ft.) length of which is included. -

3.6 Check the Installation To verify that you’ve installed your Fiber RemotePort USB 4-Port correctly, make sure that all of LEDs on the local and remote units are lit except for the device LEDs on the remote unit that correspond to USB device ports that aren’t being used. -

2. Unplug the local unit’s power supply and then plug it back in. 3. Reset or reboot the computer. 4.
