ENGINE LACKS POWER
Possible Cause
Air filters restricted.
Bad fuel, generator stored without
treating or draining gasoline, or
refueled with bad gasoline.
Fuel strainer restricted, carburetor
malfunction, ignition malfunction,
valves stuck, etc.
NO POWER AT THE AC RECEPTACLES
Possible Cause
Output indicator is OFF, and overload
alarm indicator is ON.
Overload alarm indicator blink.
GFCI system activated.
Faulty power tool or appliance.
Faulty generator.

Clean or replace air filters
(see pages 33, 53).
Drain fuel tank and carburetor
(see page 60).
Refuel with fresh gasoline
(see page 14).
Take the generator to an authorized
Honda Power Equipment dealer, or
refer to the shop manual.

Check AC load. Stop and restart the
engine.
Check the cooling air inlet. Stop and
restart the engine.

Test GFCI and press the GFCI RESET
button (see page 41).
