The "Create a Printer" window appears. Click on
Install new printer driver... The "Install New
Printer Driver" window appears.

Click on the name of your printer in the "Printer
driver" box. You may have to scroll through the list
until you find the name of your printer.
If you do not see the name of your printer in the
box, your printer may have an emulation mode
that allows it to print like one of the printers in the
list. Look in the documentation that came with
your printer to find information on emulation
modes. Then select the name of one of the printers
it can emulate in this list.
Or, if your printer came with a diskette, it may con-
tain the printer driver your printer needs. In the
"Printer Driver Selection" box, click on Other
OS/2 printer driver and follow the instructions in
the documentation that came with your printer to
install this driver.

Click on Install. A prompt window appears, dis-
playing the drive and directory from which the
printer driver will be copied.
6.
Insert the IBM Aptiva CD-ROM into the CD-ROM
drive.
7.
Click on OK. The printer driver is copied from the
CD-ROM.
8.
Click on OK in the window that tells you that the
printer driver was "...successfully installed...".

In the "Create a Printer" window, verify that an
icon for the newly-installed printer now appears in
the "Default printer driver" box (you may have to
scroll through the list to see it), and click on the
icon to select it. If the icon does not appear, repeat
steps 4 through 9.
Most fax software packages allow you to set the fax
modem as the default printer. If your computer came
with a fax modem and fax software installed, you must
set the fax modem as the default printer while you are

sending and receiving faxes. When you are finished
using the fax modem, change the default printer back to
your printer. For more information, see the online Index
entries about your fax software.

Click on Create to finish installing the printer
driver in OS/2 Warp. (The following steps install
the printer driver for Microsoft Windows.)
11.
Click on Yes in the window that asks if you want to
"...install an equivalent Win-OS/2 printer driver...".
A new prompt window appears, displaying the
drive and directory from which the printer driver
will be copied.
12.
Verify that the IBM Aptiva CD-ROM is still in the
drive; if not, put it back in the drive.
13.
Click on OK. The printer driver is copied from the
CD-ROM, and the "Create a Printer" window
