Chapter 4: Configure the Network Interfaces

Configure the Trusted Network

By default, the SOHO 6 uses DHCP to assign addresses to
computers on your trusted network. In other words, every time
you connect a computer to the SOHO 6, either directly or through
a hub, it automatically attempts to obtain its addresses from the
SOHO 6. If you use a cerntralized DHCP server to hand out IP
addresses, the SOHO 6 has a DHCP Relay feature that forwards
the DHCP request to the specified DHCP server.

Configure DHCP Server and DHCP Relay

To configure DHCP server:
1
With your Web browser, go to the System Status page using the
Trusted IP address of the SOHO 6.
For example, if using the default IP address, go to: http://192.168.111.1
2
From the navigation bar on the left side, select
Network = > Trusted.
