7 Removal

WARNING
Risk of scalding. The thermostatic
valve and the pipework may get very
hot during operation and may lead to
bad scalding. Wear safety gloves or
inactivate the heating system when
removing the thermostat
1. Using a suitable tool (e.g. small screw-
driver), pull out front cover disc (illustr. 1)
via the opening at the handwheel.
2. Using the setting key (item no. 1011497),
turn thermostat anticlockwise until stop
("5") through the front bore (illustr. 2).
3. Turn the raised marking in the connec-
tion area of the handwheel until it is in
line with the groove on the collar nut.

4. In this position, loosen the safety screw
by turning the 2.5 mm spanner anti-
clockwise in the lateral bore in the con-
nection area of the handwheel.

5. Unscrew the thermostat from the valve
by turning the handwheel anticlockwise
with the spanner remaining inside the
bore.

8 Disposal

ATTENTION
To protect the sensor liquid from
escaping, the thermostat must not
be destroyed when disposed of.
The thermostat is hazardous waste
Dismounted/defective thermostats can be
returned to the manufacturer Oventrop.
They will be disposed of professionally.

9 Warranty
