IO MAPPING TAB
I/O Mapping Setup
The IP I/O8 unit supports the use of a hard-switch for wireless on/off control over the 900MHz network and/or
over IP-based LAN network with all Encom HARMONY devices. In the event of a conflict with the scheduler, the
hard switch will take precedence over the scheduler. If there is a loss of communication, the I/O 8 will still
operate under its internal clock and scheduler.
If the Enable LAN I/O Mapping Forwarding check box is active (checked), the I/O mapping message from one
system will transfer to other systems over the IP based LAN network. This allows one or more OUTPUT from
one system to mirror the status of any INPUT from the same or different systems.
o Multicast IP Address: IP Address used to transfer I/O message over the LAN network
o Multicast IP Port: IP Port used to transfer I/O message over the LAN network
(For successful communication, Multicast IP Address and Multicast IP Port need to be identical in all IP
I/O8 devices across the network.)
The IP I/O8's output can be activated by:
1. Other IP I/O8's input over the LAN network
•
Click the IP Address checkbox, enter the partner IP I/O8's IP address and set Radio Address to "0"
2. One of its remotes via the built-in 900MHz radio (
•
Un-check IP Address and select the appropriate remote radio address in Radio Address field
