Step 1

Lay the 5xt on its back and remove the grill using a T-15 Torx bit and driver. Retain the screws for use

with the ceiling mount.

Note: Do not remove the spacers that are under the grill. The grill screws also hold the driver into the box.

Step 2

Place the ceiling mount on the 5xt with the dog ear assemblies facing down. Carefully align the holes

with the 5xt driver mounting holes. Using the grill screws, attach the mounting plate to the speaker.

Page 2 Step 3 Using a T-30 Torx bit and driver, remove one of the side mounting screws and attach the safety cable. Step 4 Cut a 9 ” hole in the ceiling or ceiling tile. Place the speaker assembly in the hole. Using a screw driver or power driver, turn the mounting screws located on the bottom of the mounting plate.
