Live Sound Recording
The mains adapter and the lamp develop a slight humming sound during
operation. This sound can only be heard in close proximity to the C-Light
D. Thus, the microphone should be positioned at some distance to the
light sources.
NOTE: The use of large metal reflectors may intensify the operating
noise. However, softboxes may subdue it and are also a good choice
when it comes to light characteristics.
Color Temperature
The color temperature of the C-Light D is ca. 6000 K and is thus
equivalent to daylight. New lamps need several hours of operation before
they achieve their optimum color rendering. Optionally, the C-Light D can
be equipped with a lamp that has a color temperature of ca. 3000 K
(code no.: 654) and that mixes well with standard tungsten light sources.
Connecting Accessories
Reflector Quick-Change Mechanism
The C-Light D has a reflector quick-change mechanism that allows you
to mount any EH series Hensel reflectors and Hensel softboxes
(connector Ø: 10 cm). In order to attach reflectors or softboxes to the
lamp head, first change the reflector quick-change mechanism's holding
clamps to the open position.
Push the lever sideways and against the spring tension until reaching the
stop, and then hold it in position. Now, position the accessory until it is
flush with the equipment. Do not jam it. Then return the lever to the
original position going with the direction of the spring tension, and lock it
into place. To remove accessories, hold them in place (careful – they
could be very hot!) while moving the lever as described above. Then take
off the accessory.
In any case, take care that the protective dome does not become
damaged. Only use original Hensel accessories – accessories of other
brands may not warrant safe operation.
Tilt Bracket
An umbrella holder is integrated on the side of the tilt bracket 9. This lets
you attach Hensel flash umbrellas. Fasten the screw of the umbrella
holder to securely fix the umbrella. Make sure that the umbrella surface
