Attention! When using an umbrella, ensure that its surface is at least 50
cm away from the protective dome. Placing the umbrella too close could
lead to damage or even ignition of the umbrella.
7 Operation
Power Supply
Before switching on the C-Light D via the power switch 1, ensure
that the power supply voltage corresponds to the listed operating
voltage of the equipment and the lamp.
The included power cable must be connected to the power socket 3 on
the lamp and then connected to the power supply. Always use grounded
power cables, junctions, and sockets. We do not recommend the use of
so-called "plug adapters" when abroad: matching power cables for other
socket systems can be ordered from our dealers and distributors. The
metal vapour lamp must cool off for approximately 8-10 minutes before it
can be restarted. Therefore, it is best to keep the C-Light D on when
taking only short breaks.
Attention! The C-Light D must only be used with grounded power
supplies.
Lamps
Only lamps of the type Sylvania™ BA 150 SE T are allowed to be used.
Using other lamps may pose an explosion hazard! Please see page 26,
accessories.
Frequent on and off switching reduce the lamp's operating life.
Cooling
The C-Light D is equipped with an extremely smooth running fan which
lets you use all current Hensel EH light formers. Furthermore, this active
cooling system allows you to operate the C-Light D in almost any
position (extremely tilted, overhead, etc.). The fan is continuously on.
Should the unit overheat during operation, e.g. due to a technical
problem, the thermostat switches the C-Light D off. The unit can be used
again after it cools off. If the equipment remains switched on during this
time, the cooling off process is accelerated because the fan stays active.
